I’m slightly OCD about keeping things clean hence I was genuinely interested when I came across this article.
Inevitable cutting boards get tiny slices/cuts over time. These cuts harbour bacteria of all sort and its a good idea to disinfect your cutting board every so often. The article highlights using:
baking soda
salt
lemon
vinegar
which are all household items to disinfect your board if you’ve grown too attched to it and simply refuse to buy a new one. (Yes, I’m judging you!)

Suya from scratch
I visited 9jafoodie and we spent a little time trying to decide between baking something and making suya.
Suya won by a landslide (obviously). We looked up a few recipes online, made a list and went shopping.

Bananas
Strawberries
Mango
Ice
The banana made it sweet. I read somewhere that bananas are perfect for consumption when the brown spots start appearing.
Brown spots signify formation of sugar from carbohydrates as the fruit ripens.
Final Product
This tasted a lot better than the initial go.
