Coconut Chicken

First Recipe- Coconut Chicken

Hello Everyone!! This is an appreciation post; I will like to thank every single one of you guys for supporting this vision and journey. Words can’t explain how much gratitude I have for our “fans”, friends and followers.

The journey has been long but definitely not one that I have regrets about, I enjoy doing this and I hope to do more on a greater scale in the near future. This post will not be complete without a brief introduction, I have done this “anonymously” for the past few years, but it’s getting increasingly more difficult to separate my Naijafoodie/9jafoodie life and personal life. So here we go;

Name: Ronke .S. Adeyemi

Title: Creative Administrator

Education: Hons. Business & Economics, CPA

Day Job: Accountant – Financial Analyst

Why Food: As a young girl growing up in Nigeria I really wanted to be a farmer, everything about farming fascinated me. I left for Canada in 2005 for post secondary education with a dream of either Agricultural science or law. Clueless 18 year old me went through a phase and farming just wasn’t a “cool thing” to study , so I switched to business. The dream never died however, while most of my friends worked cool summer jobs, I slaved away in restaurant kitchens learning and taking in as much as I could.

The blogspot page littlemissgastronome started as a mini side project for me to document my love for food, 9jafoodie.com came out of that in November of 2011 with a greater vision for our future direction.

Two years later, here we are. I love agriculture, I love food and the ultimate dream is to make a mark on each stage of the food chain. I will also like to take this time to appreciate the baby sis, she works really hard on the social media side of things and most of you probably interact more with her online.
